Do you remember the first person who inspired your fashion senses? For me, that person was Sarah Jessica Parker. Everything about her is just timeless, classic, magical…special. The way she dresses. The way she speaks. Her presence. It’s all just very empowering. So of course, when she started her own clothing line, Bitten, I was all over it. My favorite find? Her “Fashion Is Not A Luxury” tee. From the full skirts, flower prints and more – it was everything she embodied. I’m not sure what happened to her clothing line, but it was definitely ahead of its time back then (circa 2009-ish). Even until this day, I absolutely adore her.
And that’s who inspired this look. Sarah recently did a shoot with Net-A-Porter (aka one of my favorite places to shop) and as always, she was magical. One of the looks was a Valentino Sequin Dress with a Grey Acne Studios Sweater underneath, topped off with a Miu Miu Velvet Paneled Denim Jacket. I was in awe. So I when I came across the pieces that resembled what she wore, I just had to do a shoot! The details on what I wore – Skirt:: H&M. Tee:: Zara. Denim Jacket:: Zara. Sneakers:: Golden Goose Deluxe Brand.
