I recently had the opportunity to try products from Osea.  I’m OBSESSED with skincare products (just ask Sephora, my weekly addiction to their store is real) so I am always up for trying something new especially when they are free of harsh chemicals (I cannot use glycolic acid and shelling out a couple hundred each month for products from my aesthetician isn’t an option for me right now).  If you’re a fanatic like me, you’ll definitely want to give them a try. Osea is a small, family owned business so the customer service is personalized and friendly. Just give them your skin concerns, and they’ll help pick out what may suit you best.

The products come in beautiful (generously sized) glass packaging, which will make your bathroom counter and/or top shelf look amaze; it really just adds to the aesthetic.  Most importantly, all of their products are 100% natural, oraganic and vegan based, made from seaweed. Every product is Gluten-free, cruelty-free and paraben-free.  Below are my mini reviews of each product that I used based on the past 3 weeks. Please keep in mind that each persons results will vary because well, we all aren’t the same. So this is solely based on my honest experience. Before I get into that, a little background on my skin: Combo, prone to hormonal breakouts, had really bad acne in high school so there is leftover scarring and dark spots, tendency to have dull skin, hyper-pigmentation/uneven skintone.

My skin tends to feel, for lack of a better term, congested. The Ocean Cleanser is my absolute favorite (and not simply because it smells like candy, but partly the reason) because it really gets out the gross stuff that can clog your skin. Instantly, my face feels so much cleaner and less congested. I use the Ocean Cleanser with my Eve Lom Muslin Cloth that helps to exfoliate, improve blood circulation and smooth. And because I’m obsessed with cleaners, I always double cleanse as apart of my regimen by using Simple Skincare Smoothing Facial Scrub afterwards.

The Blemish Balm is a calming moisturizer to help control acne breakouts and reduce shine. It’s for sure helping to tackle my hormonal breakouts on my chin and cheeks. It’s not necessarily an overnight instant fix for me, but a few of my breakouts have cleared. Plus it leaves my skin smooth and smelling fresh.

The Essential Corrective Complex is also a favorite. Not only does it smell good, but I love the way it feels on my skin. Made of botanical oils, this was formulated to assist as a antibacterial healing spot treatment for blemishes. You don’t need much so you’ll only use it for the areas where you need it the most.

The Vitamin Sea Serum is filled with organic seaweed extracts and antioxidants to help hydrate and brighten the skin as well as assist in helping to give your skin a glow. It absorbs quickly, so I use this after cleansing morning and night on the areas where my skin needs it the most. Results have been slow for me personally, but in the past few days I have noticed my skin is somewhat brighter.  I’m used to using a 20% Vitamin C Serum and not yet sure if it measures up to what I’ve used in the past.

The Ocean Cleansing Mudd has a minty smell (not bad) and feels super tingly on the skin.  I definitely know it’s working as soon as I put it on. This may actually be a little strong for my skin, but if using a smaller amount (because a little goes a long way) it doesn’t feel too strong. Backstory: I’m skin is still somewhat recovering from a glycolic acid peel from last December. It left my skin really sensitive for quite a few months. Its gotten better, but my skin isn’t as tough as it used to be.

“Ocean Cleansing Mudd effectively sweeps away impurities, clears blemishes, and controls excess sebum production. The base of this cleanser is a blend of seaweeds that are highly concentrated in minerals, trace elements, amino acids, and vitamins that serve to remove dead cells and and purify clogged pores. With a hint of Tea Tree and Peppermint Oil to brighten and refresh your complexion, this unique cleanser will leave your skin feeling tingling, smooth, and invigorated.”

The White Algae Mask helps to brighten aging skin and correct an uneven skin tone. It has almost a grainy feel to it, which I love because you just get the feeling that your skin is being exfoliated!  I leave it on overnight and wake up to a hint of a glow.

Bottom line: I love this skincare line. Most cleansers don’t make my skin feel so clean, so that’s where this product is winning. The Ocean Cleanser, Blemish Balm and Essential Oil complex are my top 3 picks that I’ll be using as apart of my regimen.  As with any product, you have to be consistent and use over time to see real results. You’ll get your money’s worth for sure.

Although these products were gifted, my opinion and love for this post is strictly my own. Like it? Really love it? Tell me how you feel and leave a comment, or simply spread the love and share my blog.
